\nThe 2025 German Film Music Award for Best Film Music goes to Reinhard Besser & Walter Mair\n<\/h3>
\n \n \n\t\n\n\n\n
\nOn 8 November, the German Film Music Award 2025 was presented at the Opera House in Halle. In the category \u201cBest Music in Film,\u201d Reinhard Besser and Walter Mair were honored for their score for \u201cCranko\u201d (2024).

In his laudatory speech, jury member Peter W. Schmitt stated that \u201cthey have not only enriched a great film, they have also defended a piece of our musical culture \u2013 with sound, with heart, and with courage.\u201d

Besser has worked with artists and bands such as Boney M., NSYNC, and No Angels, and composes music for advertising and films including \u201cThe Lair\u201d (2022). Walter Mair is known for his work on projects such as \u201cCall of Duty: Modern Warfare III\u201d (2023).

The two composers previously collaborated on the score for \u201cMackie Messer \u2013 Brecht\u2019s Threepenny Film\u201d (2018).
